Pete Anderson has been a force in country music for decades, lighting up the stage and studio as a guitarist, producer, and musical director for Dwight Yoakam, Tanya Tucker, Michelle Shocked, and many more. Known for his inspired T-style twang, Pete was tapped by Reverend to spec out a modern take on the country and rock ’n’ roll plank. Meet the Reverend Pete Anderson Eastsider S! It’s a classic T-style guitar with an S-style twist, including three single-coil pickups and a Wilkinson tremolo bridge. A chambered korina body, roasted maple neck, compound radius rosewood fingerboard, stainless steel saddles, and hot-rodded electronics make this one of the most flexible and enjoyable to play hybrid T/S styles around!
Custom-shop-level construction and detail
The Pete Anderson Eastsider S teems with richness and warmth, thanks to its chambered korina body. Korina, a medium-light tonewood with mahogany-like sonic characteristics, delivers all the resonance you can handle, along with a lively, responsive, and harmonic-laden sound that's guaranteed to inspire. This classically crafted electric boasts a maple neck, which has been heat treated at over 300°F for an eye-grabbing look and added stability, along with a 6-bolt neck plate for added sustain and tuning constancy. The guitarists here have found the Pete Anderson Eastsider S’s 10–14-inch compound radius, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard to be among the most playable around. Finally, a hand-initialed, serial-numbered headstock lends a high-end, custom-shop vibe to this top-shelf electric guitar.
Twang’tastic pickups and premium electronics
Though born and raised in the Midwest, Pete Anderson is known for dishing out Southern-tinged twang, and the Eastsider S is loaded with Reverend’s Talnico bridge, and Salnico middle, and neck pickups for some seriously countrified tones with S-style sparkle. Producing a voice reminiscent of classic 1950s pickups with a modern heft and clarity, the Eastsider S’s pickup set is perfect for burning up a honky-tonk! Toss in a host of premium electronics, including a push-pull switch for engaging the neck and bridge pickup, an upgraded Pure Tone output jack, a treble bleed circuit, and carefully chosen pots and polyester capacitors, and the Eastsider S is certain to satisfy the boutique tastes of discerning tone chasers.
Top-of-the-line hardware
When you dive into the Pete Anderson Eastsider S, you'll find high performance in every component. This guitar's Reverend Pin-Lock tuning machines lock your strings in place for out-of-this-world tuning stability and lightning-fast string changes. Plus, it’s equipped with a convenient dual-action truss rod and a tone-heightening Boneite nut. Rounding out the Eastsider S’s mod-shop good looks is a set of custom knobs, tastefully embossed with the letter “R.”
